You’ll get picked up from the airport and head to your hotel or houseboat on Dal Lake. Once you settle in, there’s a serene shikara ride waiting for you across the water. It’s a nice way to see the floating gardens and get a feel for the lake and all the houseboats dotting it.

Today focuses on Srinagar’s Mughal Gardens, so you’ll start with Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh to see the royal architecture and landscape design. After that, you’ll visit Hazratbal Shrine and Jama Masjid in the old city. Plan to spend several hours walking through these sites.

The drive to Gulmarg takes a few hours from Srinagar. Once there, you can take the gondola ride up to Kongdori for mountain views. The ride itself is pretty popular with visitors. There’s also time to check out Alpather Lake and walk through the meadows if you’re interested in hiking around.

You’ll drive toward Pahalgam, stopping at places like Chandanwari and Betaab Valley along the way. The scenery changes quite a bit as you get closer to this hill station. After checking into your hotel, you’ll have the evening free to relax and take in the quieter atmosphere.

This day is all about exploring what’s around Pahalgam. You’ll head to Aru Valley for some nature walks or light trekking if that appeals to you. Later, you can stroll through Betaab Valley where the Lidder River runs through. It’s a pretty green area with good photo opportunities.

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Srinagar and move into a traditional Kashmiri houseboat on Dal Lake for the night. Dinner onboard features local Kashmiri food. Spending the evening there gives you a chance to experience what life on the water feels like before heading home.

You’ll have a relaxed breakfast at your hotel or houseboat, then get transferred to the airport. It’s a chance to think back on everything you’ve seen around Kashmir and the different landscapes you covered during the trip.
